Skillet has announced a Deluxe Edition of their best-selling rock album Comatose with a release date of December 26th, 2007.
The Comatose Deluxe Edition features are:
* 1 Brand new studio song called “Live Free”
* 5 Acoustic songs: Rebirthing, Yours to Hold, The Older I Get and Whispers in the Dark
* 3 music videos for Rebirthing, Whispers in the Dark and Looking for Angels
* A behind the scenes featurette on the making of Comatose
* Free wallpaper
* A free ringtone for the song “Falling Inside the Black”
* New cover-art
This comes in the wake of Comatose’s third and fourth consecutive number one chart-topping singles: The Older I Get and Comatose, which both hit #1 in a row on Christian rock radio CHR (R&R/CRW) this week. These follow their previous two hit singles Rebirthing, which spent seven weeks at #1 on Christian rock radio and The Last Night.
Sales of Comatose have been Skillet’s best ever, with the record selling over a quarter of a million copies since it’s release on October 3rd, 2006, double that of Collide in half the time. Comatose also garnered the band a prestigious Grammy nomination.
Following sell-out tours with fellow-Christian rockers Flyleaf, summer festivals and their fall tour with mainstream rock outfits Breaking Benjamin and Three Days Grace, Skillet is currently on break but will begin touring again in January as part of the Winter Jam tour. You can see concert dates for their upcoming and current tour dates at Skillet’s official web-site.
