Vote for The Almost on AOL’s Breakers and MTV’s TRL

Filed under: News, Music Videos — admin @ 8:11 pm

Southern Weather debut CD by The AlmostThe side-project from UnderOath’s drummer Aaron Gillespie (published as the first ever joint venture between Tooth & Nail and Virgin Records), his band The Almost, has released their debut album “Southern Weather” and it’s done very good so far. Just as good as UnderOath themselves I’d be willing to bet.

Aaron Gillespie of The AlmostNow the band needs your help to win the voting for both AOL’s Breakers and MTV’s TRL (where you will need to register first to vote btw)! Please vote for the band to show the power of their fans and to get this band of believers even more coverage. There are only two more days left for The Breaker’s and the voting is very close! The Almost is only winning by 2% so keep votes for them coming!

Here is the music video for Say This Sooner by The Almost.

New As Cities Burn songs “Empire” and “This Is It, This Is It” from upcoming album Come Now Sleep

As Cities Burnd debut Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest CDAs Cities Burn has posted two new songs called “This Is it, This Is It” and “Empire” from their upcoming album “Come Now Sleep”, which hits stores on August 14th.

If you haven’t heard, the indie/hardcore guys got a new lead singer, and the result of the shake-up of the band is an almost completely different sound. I actually like these two songs, and I didn’t like at all their last CD. So that’s saying something. I’m actually more interested now to look into randomly picking this album up. The lyrics are good as well, and that’s always a plus. So check the songs out. :)

Thousand Foot Krutch’s new song Falls Apart debuts from forthcoming album The Flame In All Of Us

Filed under: News — admin @ 5:12 am

Thousand Foot Krutch - The Art of Breaking CDThousand Foot Krutch’s new song has just debuted on their PureVolume profile page!

The song is called “Falls Apart” and it is from their upcoming album “The Fire In All of Us” which is set for release on September 18th! (Tooth & Nail Records label)

As you can also see by the picture on their profile, the band is now once again a four piece! This after going to only three guys for their last album, The Art of Breaking (click the pic to buy the album if you don’t have it, it’s worth it!).

Thousand Foot Krutch - Phenomenon CDSo what do I think of this new song? I like it. It’s not amazing, but the direction they are going in sounds more like Phenomenon, their totally awesome nu-metal second album, but with the polish and more rock-ish sound of Art of Breaking. So I think it’s a good mix. And I LOVE the part near the end of Falls Apart. They did a lot of cool stuff like that on Phenomenon.

Hear TFK rap on their debut Set It Off albumThe main thing missing is Trevor’s “rapping” (which was also missing from Art of Breaking for the most part) although I’m not convinced I totally miss it. But I hope they at least try it on a few songs. Can’t wait for the album. Check the song out and support TFK! They’re definitely one of the most popular Christian rock bands out there, and you can always get unbelievers talking about Christ simply by using them as a good example of Christians who know how to rock and yet stay true to their faith without being preachy.
